What Makes a Good Responsible Individual?
- Being approachable and supportive to the Registered Manager.
- Helping to drive the culture and direction of the home.
- Ensuring the home has the necessary staffing and resources.
- Providing impactful and meaningful supervision to the Registered Manager.
- Having a sound understanding of safeguarding processes.
- Being an effective communicator and having solid leadership and management skills, including in financial management and procurement.
- Having the ability to effectively audit practice and have the children at the forefront of decision making.

What Makes Me Eligible?

2 Years+ experience of holding a Registered Manager or Responsible Individual position in a children’s home.

To have achieved or be working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential childcare
#3
Ideally, having a full UK driving licence
#4
Currently or previously worked in a children’s home that has achieved a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating
