What Makes a Good Registered Manager?
- Being committed to the young people in your care, advocating for them where necessary, and acting in their best interests.
- Having good interpersonal skills so you can build and maintain professional working relationships with your staff team, other professionals, and the parents/relatives of the children in your care.
- Setting high expectations and standards.
- Being able to run the home in accordance with what’s laid out in the SOP.
- Effectively implementing the organisation’s policies and procedures.
- Being able to identify trends and patterns within the home, so that proactive steps can be taken to improve.
- Building a positive safeguarding culture so that everyone is able to identify and respond to signs of abuse or neglect.

What Makes Me Eligible?

2 Years+ experience of holding a Deputy Manager position in a children’s home (minimum)

To have achieved or be working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential childcare
#3
Ideally, having a full UK driving licence
#4
Currently or previously worked in a children’s home that has achieved a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating
